Why do I use statuary as my profile pic? Because it speaks of people and places gone by, or in artistic works (like my first profile pic) an expression of... something. People who have done... something. I've had a Native American chief, a Roman noble, a WWI soldier, and others as my avatar. My own visage is much less photogenic... better to leave the stage to more dramatic figures like those guys.
